Effective 02/15/2011 Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control we regret to have to inform the general public that San Angelo Dragway will be permanently closed. The lease holder of the land has chosen not to renew with us or any potential buyer at this point. We are saddened at the loss of this great nostalgic drag strip that has had many years of history making memories to many. We feel weakened by the fact that we had this happen while we were at the wheel, so to speak. We too feel very betrayed by the whole thing. We have met a great bunch of people who soon became like family to us and it saddens us to say we will miss each and every one of you. We would like to thank everyone for the support they have given us through the past 7 years. We are planning on stepping up to pay back our sponsors that paid us so far this year and will catch up with you shortly. We will be parting out the equipment at the track to regain some of losses we have suffered. If you know of anyone needing Compulink, water tanks, John Deere tractor, etc please call or email us. (325)651-1209 or webmaster@sanangelodragway.com We also ask for everyone's prayers for the family as this has become such a tragic blow to us. We feel like we are still mourning the loss of “Grumpa” from last year and now the loss of the track.
We are looking for sponsors for our 2011 season. We have some great packages to offer. Most come with season spectator passes. Show your support and help sponsor the track. Also let the sponsors that support our track know that you appreciate them by supporting their businesses and at least telling them "Thank You"! Brand new packages this year are asphalt and concrete decals. Get your business noticed!!
FEBRUARY TNT/STREET WARS First TNT of the 2011 Season!!! Test and Tune Saturday, February 19th. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Racing from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Car/Driver $17.00. General admission $6.00 and children 12 and under $2.00. All racers must wear pants (No Shorts) STREET LEGAL RACING Don't risk this Sunoco Fuel available. San Angelo Dragway is B.Y.O.B. but remember no glass bottles and no drinking and driving. Concession:
MARCH 2011 BRACKET RACES/POINTS RACE First Bracket 1/8 mile point races scheduled on Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th. Save yourself time at the gates. Pre-fill out your driver card information or update your driver file with your Sponsors, Car Info, etc. Click Here for driver's card. General Admission $10.00, Military/Students with I.D. $8.00 and Children under 10/Seniors $2.00. Saturday and Sunday gates open at 10:00, time trials start at 11:00 with eliminations following. Note: Saturday we do 3 time trials and Sunday 2 time trials with Pit Bike Race following eliminations. Join us for our Race Day Sunday Service sponsored by Christoval Baptist Church.
